Hotel Union has welcomed guests in Geiranger since 1891 and has been run by the Mjelva family for four generations. It stands on the slope above the village, so many rooms look out over the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, and it is a member of De Historiske, Norway's historic hotels and restaurants.
Rooms range from classic and family rooms to fjord-view rooms and spacious suites such as the Union Suite Flydalsjuvet and the Union Spa Suite Vinje. The hotel has several restaurants, a café and a terrace, and the Union Spa with a Japanese hot bath, sauna and steam bath, alongside its pools. It makes a comfortable base for fjord cruises, the Eagle Road and Trollstigen.
