Discover Paris
Paris, the City of Light and the capital of fashion, holds landmarks the whole world knows: the Eiffel Tower, built in 1889 and 330 metres tall, the Louvre, and the Champs-Élysées running from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe. The banks of the Seine between the Pont de Sully and the Pont d'Iéna became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.
For shopping, the Golden Triangle between Avenue Montaigne, Avenue George V and the Champs-Élysées holds the great fashion houses, while Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann has a glass dome from 1912 and an open rooftop over the city. In the Latin Quarter, the Grand Mosque of Paris has Andalusian gardens and a tea room.
Paris is easy to move around by private car or by metro, and Versailles is about 40 minutes away. We recommend booking the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower in advance, as entry is by time slot in busy seasons.
