Zell am See and Kaprun

Zell am See and Kaprun are the pair best known to Arab travellers: the lake meets snow-capped Alps, and the Kitzsteinhorn offers snow in summer and winter.

From Kaprun, about 10 minutes from Zell am See, cable cars rise to the Gipfelwelt 3000 and the Top of Salzburg platform at 3,029 metres, the highest point reached by lift in the state of Salzburg. In summer there is a snow area for children with slides and a snow beach.

On Lake Zell there are boats and a lakeside promenade, with the Schmittenhöhe above the town. From here, day trips run to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the Krimml Waterfalls. The town has halal restaurants and shops that know Gulf visitors well.
