Sochi

Sochi is a long resort city on the Black Sea at the foot of the Caucasus, with a subtropical climate, palms and magnolias. It hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics and kept modern roads, trains and resorts from them.

About an hour's drive from Adler, Rosa Khutor in Krasnaya Polyana has gondolas climbing to peaks above 2,000 m. In winter it is a complete ski resort; in summer a place for mountain walks and restaurants above the Mzymta river. The city itself has a seafront promenade, the Olympic Park and a yacht harbour.

Sochi suits families who want sea and mountains in one trip: May to October for the sea, December to March for snow. We arrange hotels on the beach or in the mountains, and private cars between them.
