Geneva

Geneva is an international city and home to many international organisations, known for its Jet d'Eau and its fine watches beside Lake Geneva. The fountain throws water about 140 metres above the lake.

You walk the lakeside and the English Garden with its flower clock, then climb to the old town and St Peter's Cathedral. The banking district and nearby streets hold the boutiques of the great watch and jewellery houses.

Geneva is the Swiss city Arab visitors know best, with the Mosque of Geneva in Petit-Saconnex and many Lebanese and Turkish restaurants. Lausanne is about 40 minutes by train, Montreux and Chillon Castle about an hour.
