The Langkawi cable car and Sky Bridge
A cable car over the rainforest to the top of Mount Mat Cincang, then a curved bridge hanging 660 metres above the sea. Langkawi's best-known experience.

The experience
The SkyCab starts at Oriental Village in the west of Langkawi and climbs over rainforest and waterfalls to the top station on Mount Mat Cincang, with views over the islands, the Andaman Sea and, on clear days, Thailand.
From the top station, an inclined lift called SkyGlide takes you down in two minutes, or you can walk a mountain path, to the Langkawi Sky Bridge: a curved bridge 125 metres long, hung by cables from a single tilted pylon, 660 metres above sea level, with glass floor panels at its centre.
We book express tickets to skip the queues and plan the visit in the morning, before afternoon cloud and tropical rain. Oriental Village at the base has restaurants and souvenir shops.
The cable car sometimes closes in high winds or for maintenance, so we leave a spare day in your programme.
