Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Langkawi in 8 nights
This journey brings together Malaysia's three faces. It opens in the capital with three nights at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, facing the Perdana Botanical Garden, with visits to the Petronas Towers and Putrajaya. You then fly to Penang for two nights at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel, founded by the Sarkies brothers in the 1880s on George Town's waterfront.
It ends with three nights at The Datai Langkawi, a resort set in ancient rainforest on Datai Bay, with the Langkawi cable car and a boat through the Kilim mangroves.
All transfers are by private car, domestic flights are booked for you, and an Arabic-speaking guide accompanies you in the cities. The price is on request, depending on season and room type.
Day 1
Private airport reception and about an hour to The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. A quiet evening at the hotel.
Day 2
The Petronas Towers, skybridge and 86th-floor deck, then Masjid Jamek and Merdeka Square, with an evening in KLCC Park.
Day 3
The pink Putra Mosque on its lake, then the Blue Mosque in Shah Alam, back at the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 4
A flight of about an hour to Penang and check-in at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel, then the funicular up Penang Hill at sunset.
Day 5
A morning walk through the heritage zone: Kapitan Keling Mosque, the shophouses and murals, with nasi kandar for lunch.
Day 6
A short flight to Langkawi and the drive to The Datai Langkawi on Datai Bay, in the island's north-west.
Day 7
The cable car and Sky Bridge in the morning before the clouds, and a private boat through the Kilim mangroves in the afternoon.
Day 8
A day to rest on Datai beach, walk with the resort's naturalist, or spend time at the spa.
Day 9
Breakfast, then a transfer to Langkawi airport and a flight to Kuala Lumpur for your international connection.
