Four stops and historic hotels in 9 nights
You travel between cities by first-class high-speed train, met by a private driver at every stop. Private guides in Rome, Florence and Venice, a private boat on Lake Como, and entry tickets booked in advance.
The hotels are chosen for families: Rome Cavalieri with its park and pools, Four Seasons Florence with its historic garden and pool, the Danieli on the Venetian waterfront and Villa d'Este on the shore of Lake Como. Price on request, by season and room choice.
Day 1
Private meeting at Fiumicino and transfer to Rome Cavalieri on Monte Mario. The rest of the day is for the park and the pool.
Day 2
The Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine with a private guide, then the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps in the afternoon.
Day 3
The Vatican Museums in the morning; in the afternoon, the Grand Mosque of Rome and a walk in the Villa Borghese gardens.
Day 4
High-speed train to Florence in about 1 h 30 and check in at Four Seasons Florence. Sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo.
Day 5
The Uffizi and David with a private guide, then the Ponte Vecchio. If you prefer the countryside, a day with a driver in the Val d'Orcia instead.
Day 6
High-speed train to Venice in about 2 hours, then a water taxi along the Grand Canal to the Danieli on the Riva degli Schiavoni.
Day 7
St Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace with a guide in the morning, then a private boat to Murano and Burano.
Day 8
High-speed train to Milan in about 2 h 30, then a private car about an hour to Villa d'Este in Cernobbio.
Day 9
A private boat to Villa del Balbianello and Bellagio, then a quiet evening in the hotel gardens.
Day 10
Private car to Milan Malpensa, about 50 minutes.
