White Omani calm on a private beach

Beachfront

About The Chedi Muscat

A resort of pared-back Omani architecture between palm gardens and the Gulf of Oman, with one of the region's longest pools.

The Chedi sits on Muscat's waterfront, close to the airport and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, surrounded by palm gardens and still water channels along a 370-metre private beach, with the Hajar Mountains behind.

It has 158 rooms and suites in a pared-back contemporary Omani style: white walls, dark wood and courtyards open to the water. There are three pools, the best known being the 103-metre Long Pool between rows of columns and palms.

We choose it for travellers who want calm, privacy and a sense of place in Muscat, close to the city's landmarks without its bustle.
