An evening in the Dubai desert
A dune drive, a golden sunset and dinner in a camp. The Arabian desert, in complete privacy.

The experience
About 45 minutes from central Dubai the red dunes begin, among them the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, home to herds of Arabian oryx and gazelles. A four-wheel drive with an experienced driver takes you up and over the dunes, at the pace your family likes.
Before sunset we stop on a dune crest to watch the sun go down over the sand, then move on to a Bedouin camp with coffee and dates, camel rides, henna and a falconry display.
Dinner is a halal Arabic barbecue under the stars. For families who want privacy, we arrange a private camp or a separate seating away from large groups, or a morning trip instead for those who prefer an early night.
We use licensed operators with modern vehicles and seat belts, and keep the dune driving gentle for older guests, young children and pregnant travellers.
