Hainanese chicken rice
Hainanese chicken rice is Singapore's unofficial national dish. The chicken is gently poached then cooled to stay tender, the rice cooked in the stock with garlic and ginger, and it comes with chilli and ginger sauces. Look for stalls with MUIS halal certification.
