Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
วัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ
The temple stands on the slopes of Doi Suthep, west of Chiang Mai, around a golden chedi whose origins go back to the 14th century. A naga-lined stairway of more than 300 steps leads up to it, or you can take the funicular. Its terrace looks out over the city and valley; early morning is clearer and quieter.
