Tromsdalen Church, known as the Arctic Cathedral, was completed in 1965 in stepped triangular panels that recall the mountains and ice of the north. It stands at the end of the Tromsø Bridge near the Fjellheisen cable car station and, lit up against the winter dark, is one of the most photographed sights in the city.
