The Brandenburg Gate
Brandenburger Tor
The gate was built in 1791 in neoclassical style and is crowned by the Quadriga, a chariot drawn by four horses. For decades it stood behind the Berlin Wall, then became the symbol of German reunification in 1990. It faces Pariser Platz and is at its finest when lit at night.
