The Old Bazaar sits at the heart of Gjirokastër where lanes run down from the castle, its stone houses turned into craft shops on the ground floor: hand-woven carpets, copperware, embroidery and carvings in stone and wood. It has the Ottoman Bazaar Mosque and small cafés for a rest between visits.
