Et'hem Bey Mosque
Xhamia e Et'hem Beut
The Et'hem Bey Mosque was built in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries and is one of Tirana's oldest and loveliest buildings, with an outer portico, a small dome and walls painted inside and out with trees, waterfalls and bridges, rare decoration for a mosque. Closed under communism, it reopened in 1991, has been restored and is still a working mosque beside the Clock Tower.
