Where rare nature meets calm and rest
A trip that combines rest and adventure in Lombok's calm. It begins on the west coast near the Gili Islands, where you spend the first days in a comfortable hotel, then moves to a resort on the south coast among the clear beaches of Kuta Mandalika.
The tours range from the Gili Islands and snorkelling with turtles to the great mosque of Mataram, the Sasak village of Sade, the waterfalls of Senaru at the foot of Mount Rinjani, and sunset from Merese Hill. Lombok is mostly Muslim, so halal food and mosques are close throughout the trip.
International flights are not included; we are happy to book them for you, together with the domestic flight to Lombok, on request.
Day 1
Reception at Lombok International Airport and a transfer of about 1 h 15 to your hotel on the west coast. The rest of the day is free to rest.
Day 2
A boat of about 20 minutes from the north-west coast to the Gili Islands, snorkelling over reefs where turtles swim, then free time on the quiet beach of Gili Meno.
Day 3
A coastal drive of about two hours to Senaru village below Mount Rinjani, a forest walk to the Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, then back to the hotel.
Day 4
A visit to the great mosque of the Islamic Center in Mataram, then south with a stop at the Sasak village of Sade, its traditional houses and hand weaving, arriving at your resort in Kuta Mandalika.
Day 5
Tanjung Aan's fine-sand beach and Kuta Mandalika beach, then the short walk up Merese Hill for sunset over the bays.
Days 6–7
Two days to rest at the resort and swim, or for an optional activity we arrange, such as a boat trip to the south-eastern beaches.
Day 8
Breakfast, then a farewell transfer to Lombok International Airport, about 30 minutes from Kuta Mandalika.
