Historic palace
Thirty-one suites of Fes craftsmanship in the Bensouda family palace, on a hill above Fes el Bali, with a rooftop restaurant and a spa with hammam.
Palais Faraj was the palace of the Bensouda family, one of the great families of Fes, built by Si Mohamed Bensouda; it was restored and opened as a hotel in 2012 by its owners Evelyne and Driss Faceh. It stands on a hill at the edge of the medina, easy to reach by car, and looks over the rooftops and minarets of Fes el Bali.
Its 31 suites are a showcase of Fes craft: zellige, cedar ceilings painted by the city's craftsmen and carved plaster, with modern comfort. It suits couples and families, with family suites, a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city and the Essencia Spa with its traditional hammam.
