Kuriftu Resort & Spa Lake Tana

Kuriftu Resort sits on the southern shore of Lake Tana in Bahir Dar, about ten minutes from the airport. It has 28 rooms in individual stone and timber bungalows facing the lake or the gardens, furnished in a traditional style, including two presidential suites.

There is an outdoor pool with a terrace over the lake, a spa well liked by guests, and a restaurant serving Ethiopian and international dishes. Boats leave from its jetty for the island monasteries.

Bahir Dar lies in the Amhara region, to which official travel advice currently says not to travel, so we book this resort only when that advice changes.
