South-west of Saigon the Mekong Delta branches into countless canals between orchards and rice fields. Its edges can be seen in a day from Saigon (about two hours to My Tho and Ben Tre), or you can stay a night in Can Tho to see the Cai Rang floating market at dawn, when traders sell fruit and vegetables from their boats.
