Damnoen Saduak lies about 100 km south-west of Bangkok. Farmers sell fruit, vegetables and snacks from wooden boats along its canals. We leave early to arrive before the crowds and hire a private boat to take you among the sellers. It pairs well with the Maeklong railway market, where a train runs through the stalls.
