Doi Inthanon, the roof of Thailand
A full day
November to February
Doi Inthanon National Park is about two hours south-west of Chiang Mai and holds Thailand's highest point at 2,565 metres. On the way up are waterfalls, the best known Wachirathan, and at the top a boardwalk through cloud forest. Near the summit stand two memorial pagodas set in flower gardens. It is much cooler than the city, so bring a light jacket.
Good to know
- A light jacket for the summit
- Private car with driver
