The Stockholm archipelago stretches east of the city across some 30,000 islands and skerries, from large islands with villages and restaurants to small rocks with a single summer house. Boats leave the city centre for nearby islands such as Vaxholm and Sandhamn, and a private boat with a seafood lunch on a quiet island can be arranged for your family.
