A walk through Kampong Glam
About 3 h
Morning, all year
The walk begins at the Sultan Mosque, a national monument since 1975, then follows tree-lined Bussorah Street, Arab Street with its textile and carpet shops, Haji Lane with its murals and cafés, and the Malay Heritage Centre in Istana Kampong Glam. It ends with lunch at one of the quarter's many halal restaurants.
Good to know
- The mosque lends robes to visitors outside prayer times
- Some Haji Lane shops open in the afternoon
