The Rain Vortex at Jewel
The world's tallest indoor waterfall, 40 metres under a glass dome inside an indoor forest, at Changi Airport itself.
Jewel Changi · Singapore
The experience
At the heart of Jewel Changi, opened in 2019, the Rain Vortex falls 40 metres through an opening in the glass dome, making it the largest and tallest indoor waterfall in the world. Collected rainwater is recirculated continuously.
Around it, the Shiseido Forest Valley rises over five storeys, with about 3,000 trees and 60,000 shrubs, and walking trails overlooking the water. In the evening the waterfall becomes a short light-and-sound show.
For children, Canopy Park on the top level has a glass-floored bridge 23 metres up, hedge and mirror mazes and a bouncing net. The complex has about 300 shops and restaurants, including halal ones.
We suggest visiting on arrival day or before your flight home, since Jewel connects to the terminals on foot, and we arrange luggage storage.
