The Eagle Road (Ørnevegen) climbs from Geiranger in a series of bends to the Eagle's Bend, the classic view of the fjord. The route continues by a short ferry and the fruit valley of Valldal to the Trollstigen plateau, where the Troll's Ladder drops in eleven hairpins to the Romsdal valley, with viewing platforms over the road and waterfalls.
