The Fløibanen funicular leaves from a station near the fish market and Bryggen and climbs to the top of Mount Fløyen in about 6 minutes. From the platform all of Bergen opens out: harbour, islands and the seven mountains. At the top are a café, a restaurant, a children's playground and forest paths around Lake Skomakerdiket.

We suggest going up before sunset in summer, when the light softens, and walking down the winding path if you enjoy walking (about 40 minutes).
