You drive west from Tangier through the Rmilat forest to Cap Spartel and its white lighthouse, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean at the mouth of the strait. Then down to the Caves of Hercules, which open onto the ocean through a gap shaped like the map of Africa, finishing with a fish lunch on the coast or a walk on Achakar beach.
