An evening in the Agafay desert
Half a day, late afternoon into the evening
October to May
Agafay is not a dune sea but sand-coloured stony hills south-west of Marrakech, with the Atlas peaks behind. You arrive in the late afternoon, ride a camel or a four-wheel drive, then watch the sunset and dine in a camp. A good choice when there is no time for Merzouga.
Good to know
- About 45 minutes from Marrakech
- A warm layer for the evening
- An overnight stay in a fine camp is possible
