Sunset at Uluwatu
About 4 h in the late afternoon
All year; clearest from April to October
Uluwatu temple sits on the edge of a cliff about 70 metres above the Indian Ocean, with paths along the clifftop overlooking the surf. We arrive an hour before sunset to walk the paths, then watch the traditional Kecak dance, performed by dozens of men in an open-air theatre as the sun goes down behind them.
Afterwards we drive to nearby Jimbaran for a seafood dinner on the beach at a restaurant we choose for you.
Good to know
- Bold monkeys live at the temple: keep glasses and phones secure
- A sarong is provided at the entrance
