The temple is in the Bedugul area at about 1,200 m, so the air is noticeably cooler than on the coast. Its tiered shrines seem to float when the lake is high, and the wide gardens around it suit families.

We usually combine it with the Jatiluwih terraces in one day, stopping at the Candikuning fruit and flower market on the way.
