Colmar is one of the prettiest towns in Alsace, and its Little Venice is a row of coloured timber-framed houses along the canals of the Lauch. Walk it, take a small flat-bottomed boat between the houses, then visit the Rue des Marchands and the covered market. It is about 30 minutes from Strasbourg by train.
