Philae, a felucca and a Nubian village
Full day
October to April
You reach Philae by small boat across the reservoir and walk through the Temple of Isis that was saved from the water. In the afternoon you sail by felucca among the granite islands and around Elephantine and the Botanical Garden, then visit a Nubian village with its painted houses and drink tea with its people before returning at sunset.
Good to know
- Feluccas depend on the wind; a motorboat may stand in
- Nubian villages sell handicrafts
- The sun is strong on the water
