2 to 3 hours
All year
H.C. Andersen's House opened on 30 June 2021, designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, with two-thirds of it underground. Visitors pass through rooms that recreate the tales with sound, light and images, and there is a separate area for children. Beside it is the small yellow house in the old quarter where Andersen was born in 1805.
