The Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër) is a small pool where water wells up strongly from an unknown depth, deep blue at the centre and green at the edges, flowing into a stream under plane trees. The water is very cold all year and swimming is not allowed, to protect the spring.

It is a shaded walk of about 20 minutes from the car park, so we combine it with Gjirokastër or Butrint on the same day.
